# Showing work with share links

> How to show a document, sheet, plotboard, or canvas with a single URL, and manage the links you have made in one place under Shared links in settings.

Export a manuscript to a file and send it, and you have to send it again every time you fix a line. A share link makes one URL that opens the file as it stands.

## Creating a link

You can share documents, sheets, plotboards, and canvases. Folders cannot be shared.

In the sidebar, right-click the file or open its more menu and go into **Share link**. The first row reads **Not published**; press that row and it turns to **Published**, and "Share link created" appears. The URL goes to the clipboard at that moment, so you can paste it right away. If you need it again later, use **Copy link** in the same menu.

With the file open, the same menu comes up from the header too. The share button is hidden at first, so it sits as **Share link** inside **More** at the right of the header, and once you turn it on under **Customize** in the same menu it shows in the header as an icon. For documents, a save runs once just before the link goes on, so the sentence you wrote a moment ago is included.

## Taking it down for a while and putting it back

Turn the switch off again and "Share link revoked" appears, but the URL does not go away. The link stays stopped, and turning it back on brings the same URL back. To keep alive a link the other person has already taken, turn it off and on this way.

## Seeing every link you made in one place

**Shared links** in settings gathers this project's public links in the same order as the sidebar tree. Press a title and you go to that file; on the right sit copy link, **Open link**, the public switch, and **Delete link**. A stopped link carries a **Paused** badge, and **Open link** cannot be pressed. Anything with no match in the tree drops below **Not in this project’s tree**.

**Delete link** cannot be undone. Share again after deleting and a new URL is made, so the old link opens for no one. If you mean to close it only for a while, use the switch.
